Personal Note

Well hello there!
I'm a Scot living in Scotland but boy do I like it here! I'm happily married and a few years ago my wife and I started a small company, alongside out existing jobs, which makes 360 degree 'virtual tours'. These are usually used in houses but I've been working on a variety of outdoor tours of famous locations.
If you are interested in Edinburgh and have visited, or are planning to visit, it then these tours might be a useful addition to your guidebooks and things.
I've produced tours based around Edinburgh, Lindisfarne (a small place I HIGHLY recommend visiting), North Queensferry, Burntisland, Culross and York.
York, Edinburgh and Lindisfarne are my main loves and I'd be more than happy to help anyone who is planning to visit them. If you love the history of places then please feel free to send an email asking any questions!
We are also planning a similar tour of the historic Belgian town of Bruges - another nice wee place...can you see the link?
We've also been fortunate enough to work on an educational project with some of the educational staff at the museum at Auschwitz-Birkenau - the former Nazis Extermination Camp. This project might not come to completion but I would highly recommend visiting this place as it teaches you alot.
We're no experts in other places (and don't really claim to be about anywhere - how can anyone know everything about a town) but we would really value any pointers or suggestions you have about the stuff we have done, or places which might be appropriate to cover!
Got a favourite place? Send us an email and if we do cover that location we will send you a copy of anything we come up with!
We also like photography and are very keen on learning new techniques - especially night shooting and photoshop special effects type shennanigans!
If you want to have a look at our tours please check out this website - www.virtualplaces.co.uk
There is also more info about us on

I am very keen on talking to anyone who has been to the following places:
Masada (Israel)
Old Town of Jerusalem (Israel)
Krak des Chevaliers (Syria)
Colditz (Germany)
Macchu Picchu (Peru)
Istanbul (Turkey)
Isandlwana (Kwa-Zulu Natal - South Africa)

If you have seen these places, or live there, please say hi as they are places I'd love to see!
